Simply Saturday

I am really starting to love our Saturday routine. We get up and head out of the house by 8:15, go to Wawa to get gas and a pretzel to share on the way to Mesa Vista Therapeutics. We get to MVT about 9:15 which gives Suzie enough time to get used to the horses and for Zach to say hi to his buddy Harvey the pig.
Suzie still doesn't like Harvey but at least she no longer screams when she see's him. This morning we brought the a special treat with us, Suzie's horsey flashlight! She was SO excited to show it to "her horse" Twinkie and the following people, in order, Caitlin, Cole, the piggy and the kitty. I am not sure WHY we had to bring the flashlight today but I wasn't going to argue it. We also brought Twinkie an apple and some peppermints. Suzie wasn't too sure about feeding the apple to Twinkie but Caitlin helped out.

After the apple Suzie wanted to Brush Twinkie. Notice the flashlight...

Zachy did pretty "ok" riding today. He loved riding backwards but when they tried to have him face the front he lost it. I am not sure what that was about but little guy is definitely letting his preferences known. He is not the docile little guy of days past.

As we were winding things up at MVT, Suzie decided she wanted to ride in Zach's chair. As soon as she was in it Zach decided that he wanted to push it. He pushed it all over. I had to help steer a little but he was fully in charge of the actually pushing. I was able to get a little video as we were leaving.

We bought Zach and Suzie their own horse helmets today. MVT had helmets but they were a little too big for the kids. The ones we got were very basic but they provide better ventilation which is good for Zachy. Suzie felt she needed to wear her helmet on the way home.

And now it is quiet time. David and I are going to watch a movie and enjoy our night.... Life is good and we are blessed.
