New Phrases

Suzie continues to struggle with her vocabulary. If any of you have ever heard her speak you will know exactly what I mean. It is a daily struggle for her to find the exact phrase she is looking for. For example - on Monday David was picking on her so she told him to "Stop aggravating me Daddy!" Clearly the correct 2 year old word should have been "bothering" or "annoying" or something along those lines. This morning she told David to "Chill out Daddy." David wasn't upset or stressed or anything so once again she used a poor choice of phrase selection. She really needs to step it up and start acting her age. Geez.

As I mentioned a couple days ago we brought out a different chair for Zachy. Suzie never really liked it - until Zachy did. Here are a couple shots of Suzie "talking" on the phone and Zachy trying to get his chair back.

Also, The playroom was totally cleaned and organized on Sunday. I was SO proud how great it looked. We even picked it back up and put all the books back onto the book shelf before going to bed. That lasted until Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon I walked into the playroom and found this....

At this point they have won. I am hoping to maybe clean it again some day - but right now I give up.

On a more serious subject - Zachy is starting to feel pain. Part of PWS is that they have a very high pain tolerance. This is both a bad and a good thing. Good that they can get the growth hormone shots and it doesn't really bother them but bad that they don't have the pain queues to indicate that they are doing something wrong and need to stop (example falling off the fireplace). About 3 weeks ago Zach started crying whenever he fell down, received any type of booboo and when I gave him his nightly GH shot. I emailed his Endocrinologist and she said that it was a good thing and it showed that he is developing developmentally. Interesting to me that this new 'pain awareness' totally coincides with the start of hippotherapy. That is the only real change we made that could have made such a fast change. We have noticed a lot of physical strength changes, but this is the first real developmental change we have noticed.

I never thought I would be happy to have Zachy feel pain. I am not happy happy about it - but happy that it means he is doing well.
