Horses and Turtles and Bites Oh My!

Well what would a Saturday be without horse therapy for the kids. Today we brought cupcakes to celebrate Caitlin's Sweet 16. Caitlin is one of the volunteer's at Mesa Vista. She is FANTASTIC with both kids and they just adore her. Suzie's friend Cole Shenk was there today and Suzie was thrilled. She thinks Cole was there just to visit with her.

Silly boy
After we got home from riding and stuff we had a very nice Saturday. David and Suzie went swimming, Suzie got eaten alive. I really do not know how on earth this child gets bit so quickly. It is bizarre.

David went outside to use some yard stuff to try to get rid of the ants and to form a barrier to the mosquitoes. While he was out there he called us to come outside to see a yard visitor. A Turtle!! So exciting!! Of course I had to take a couple pictures...

She gave the turtle a little smooch

Petting the turtle

Daddy didn't want to hold the turtle, but Suzie did!!

Trying to look inside the turtle to see where it's head went.

Can you tell how much David didn't want to touch him?

Waiting for the turtle to come out of his shell.

Rehoming the turtle. Notice who is carrying him?

I love love love this picture. Suzie helping the turtle move out of our yard.

By the time we came back inside Suzie had 8 additional bites. I think she has about 15 bites right now. They don't seem to bother her too much but they welt up and look so angry. Poor kiddo.
