Today was Zach's second hippo appointment and Suzie's first. We decided to have Suzie do hippotherapy due to some 'akwardness' that seems to be developing. We knew that their may be some residual issues from the brain interventricular hemorrhage and stroke she had. We are very blessed that that minor coordination issues appear to be the only issue.
When we got to the barn Harvey was out roaming around. Harvey is a very delicate creature who is very fast moving and dainty. Here are some pictures of Zach meeting Harvey and Harvey using Zach's chair as a stratching post.
Once Zach was settled on Prissy it was Suzie's turn to get on Twinkie. Caitlin was the main girl who walked around with Suzie. It was so cute to hear Suzie give the horse commands "Whoa" or to let Zach's team know she was going to be on the inside pathway "inside!".
Zach still loved riding. He started to get really fussy while we were waiting - I think he was just really looking forward to getting on his horse!
I really can't say enough good things about Mesa Vista Therapeutics. The staff is wonderful, the horses are sweet and what's not to love about Harvey?
