One of those days.

So I feel like I have had a crappy day today. I really haven't but I am just feeling super edgy and mean. I think it may have something to do with a sweet little naughty girl who likes to wake me up at 5AM. For some reason she likes to bond with me during these wee hours instead of David. The most enjoyable part of these early morning bonding times are the painting sessions. Suzie loves to paint on me. Especially my face. It is odd that she likes to paint on me while we are in bed because we have no paint for her to paint on me with. So to meet her needs Suzie licks her fingers as uses her spit for paint. Usually I am about 5/8ths asleep and it takes a couple 'strokes' before I figure out what she is doing and get her to stop. Lovely.

Today my goal was to get a new pair of shoes. There is a shoe store here that has AWESOME shoes. They are usually more than I am willing to pay but I heard they were having a sale. I ended up getting my very first pair of Danskos! I am in love with them and I can't wait until it is fall-ish outside so that I can wear them!

I also really really wanted to find a purse. I use to be a purse whore but I over came that addition about the same time I started carrying a diaper bag. I decided to go to Marshall's as they have a nice selection and I think I am in love with Marshall's. I wanted to get a purse that was not practical. I wanted a purse that was fun, perky and not-mom-ish.

I think it is the perfect size and seems to have the perfect number of pockets! Weeeee!!

We are also trying to get Suzie's coordination a little better. I have been looking at balance boards and it seems like it may be a good toy for both Z and Suz. I found this one and it had great reviews.

Suzie had a great time with her 'skateboard' but freaks out a little when it wobbles too fast. Nothing like freaking your child out with a toy.

I feel like I have really been slacking in cooking lately. The kids have had pulled pork sandwiches for 3 nights in a row. Tonight Suzie and I went to the store and bought stuff for a yummy dinner. I grilled salmon, steak, made mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. I was going to grill zucchini also but I couldn't coordinate that much. It is hysterical to watch Zach eat corn on the cob. He manages to eat a lot of the corn but it is a very messy and lengthy processes. He basically plays his own game of Corn Hole. It keeps him happy and busy for all of dinner - so that makes dinner a nice experience for all!

Finally - this is how my night ended... Pretty darn nice way to end it!
