Sometimes I like to sit and reminisce about the time David and I had before kids. When we met I had my own place and he was temporarily living with his parents. I used to tease him about it because I just thought it was funny. It never bothered me. I think it surprised us both how quickly we 'clicked'. He moved into my place within a few weeks of starting to date and within a few months we had bought a house together.
David use to say "It must be faith" instead of "It must be fate". Looking back I think the word "faith" is very appropriate. Without faith, prayers and support of friends and family, I don't know where we would be.
When we named Suzie "Suzanne Faith" we had no idea how much faith we would have to have to survive those first few months. Thankfully I really can't remember a lot of it - but David and my mom can. Suzie was in so much pain from her brain hemorrhage and we had no idea what to do to make her stop crying. After her shunt surgery it was like we had a completely different child. So happy and calm. It still makes me sad to think about the horrid pain she was in.
When we found out we were pregnant with a boy we had the hardest time deciding on a name. We wanted something different but not 'weird'. We decided on "Zachary". Looking up his name I found out that it means "God Has Remembered" and "Pure". Both definitions are perfect for my little guy.
Well it is almost 10:30 and it is my goal to be in bed by 11pm. Night.
