So excited, received an email from a local horse therapeutics group that is willing to evaluate Zachy and see if he can start hippotherapy. I am waiting on Dr. Miller to send me a letter giving her stamp of approval. He is starting to really make 'wordish' sounds now, will take a very clumsy few steps and stand for a couple seconds on his own. I just feel that this therapy may be the boost he needs.
Also, I was able to go shopping for 2 hours alllll by myself! I went to Marshall's and found a new pair of sneakers for Suzie that look pretty yet are supportive.
I bought a very cute new hair dryer for myself and a bundt cake pan that was very marked down. Next up I went to the drive thru and bought myself a soda - just a soda. I didn't have to worry about anyone else or any whining. It was bliss! I ended the festivities by going to Walmart. It was not crowded at all! I didn't even have to wait in line to check out!
With David's work picnic this weekend I was worried about how Zach would do in the heat. When I was looking at the children's medicine area I found these. I think/hope that maybe they will keep Zachy cool enough to be able to enjoy the picnic. I used a smaller version on these when Zach had a high fever and they did seem to help.
We are celebrating Father's Day with David's mom and dad tomorrow as they will be gone this weekend. I am really excited for him to open his gift. David's aunt (David's Dad's sister-in-law) sent me some pictures of Jim (David's Dad) growing up and I was able to make them into a coffee mug. I think this is one of those gifts where it is the thought that counts. It is just a coffee mug but it is a lifetime of memories.
I made a pound cake for tomorrow. This one ALMOST turned out but my pan runneth over. I need to alter the recipe to make it a tad smaller. The cake does smell awesome and the non-burnt stuff I scrapped from the bottom of the oven was quite tasty! Suzie also agreed.
